Sakura Pastel – Soft and Charming
Sakura Pastel uses soft pink tones paired with lavender purple and gentle mint green, with rounded, bubbly card shapes and warm soft shadows throughout. This skin is a great fit for romance, school life, or slice-of-life manga and manhwa sites, where a cute and approachable feel plays a key role in keeping readers engaged.
Manga Noir Halftone – Classic Comic-Panel Look
Manga Noir Halftone recreates the look of a classic black-and-white comic page, featuring a halftone dot background, bold white panel borders, and an offset comic-style drop shadow. This skin forces a full dark theme across the site, delivering a bold, striking identity that works well for action, horror, or any site aiming for a gritty, distinctive brand look.
How to Activate a New Skin
After updating to version 2.8.4, simply go to your theme’s appearance settings, find the Skin Style option, and select one of the three new choices: Sumi Ink, Sakura Pastel, or Manga Noir Halftone. For skins that force a light or dark theme, the system automatically locks the dark mode toggle so the entire interface stays visually consistent, avoiding mismatched colors across different parts of the page.
Technical Improvements Under the Hood
Alongside the new skins, Init Manga 2.8.4 also refactors the backend color mode logic, replacing individual per-skin conditional checks with a single shared lookup mechanism. This makes it easier and faster to add new skins in future releases, all without affecting page load performance for sites still running the default theme.
With these three new additions, Init Manga continues to move toward its goal of being a flexible, highly customizable reading platform, empowering site owners to build a unique visual identity for their reader community without needing deep coding knowledge.
